About The Project
Lets Bake You Smile is a socio-culinary venture that includes an array of volunteers who help on 3 levels: helping to spread the project, helping in distributing cakes that are baked voluntarily to organizations in need, and everyone donates according to their ability so that the project can continue.
The purpose of the project is to make our receivers happy and sweeten the week for those who need it. These can be low-income families, single soldiers elderly, women's shelters, youth at risk, hospitals, and more. Cakes for everyone who needs them.
How did the project start?
For a period of time I was looking for a way to increase my contribution to the community, and during the covid period and after, with all the consequences of this period
It just happened by itself. I found myself in addition to my work as a confectioner and business owner also baking cakes and donating them.
It's unbelievable how a cake can warm the heart. How simple and easy it is to make people happy and make them feel good. And that's where the idea came from for the project. I thought to myself, what if I set up a whole system that could support and help many more people in this way and over time.
I love the project because it combines my love for the profession and the wonderful feeling of contributing and making people who need it happy.
The project maintains collaborations with organizations and companies that participated in it as part of social involvement and contribution to the community. My aim In the long term is to add more organizations, companies and individuals to the project, something that will make many more people happy who need it.
Not a week goes by without a heart-melting response. For those who receive the cake, it's not just the cake, it's the understanding that someone thought of them, take the time and bake especially for them. “Cake is home”.
In order to continue this good work, we need volunteers who want to volunteer without a long-term commitment and even on a one-time basis to distribute the cakes in their area of residence, to spread the idea of the project with organizations that can be helped by us and friends who can donate their money and time.
